Some resources about how to make software last, mostly from the Software Sustainability
Institute in the UK. Neil Chue Hong, their director, delivered a particularly good keynote at eResearch last year.

Most of the SSI's guides and links to other resources are fun, easy
reading. They cover topics from technical issues like commenting and
source code standards, to areas like how to build a community, naming,
handover, "hibernating" a project, etc.
