ANDS is pleased to announce that ANDS Online Services Release 8 will be available in July 2012. The following is the list of new functionality included in this release:

Research Data Australia:
Contributor Pages - data providers will be able to create rich party records centred on the contributor’s data management and data collection profiles which are displayed in a new view in Research Data Australia. The pages will provide a higher level of grouping for a contributor’s records in Research Data Australia.
Content syndication from Research Data Australia - the ability to subscribe to RSS/ATOM feeds of collection descriptions based on custom search queries.
Enhanced ANDS Suggested links – this Research Data Australia feature will now suggest items from the DataCite Metadata Store which may have relevance to the collection being viewed.
Improved Research Data Australia search facets - the facets shown on search results pages will be improved to provide a more user friendly approach to filtering results.
New URL for Research Data Australia - Research Data Australia will be migrated to a new domain name with more user- and search engine-friendly URLs.
Integration with the ANDS Classify My Data vocabulary service - allow browsing and structured searching of Research Data Australia using supported controlled vocabularies (initially the Australian and New Zealand Standard Research Classification (ANZSRC Codes)).
Browse by License Type - Improved display and faceted search functionality to support identification of records' licence type (including identifying records that are not licensed)

Manage My Records
Improved interface - a more user-friendly Managed My Records screen which will allow data source administrators to customize their views and manage records based on status or quality.
Quality Level Reporting - Metadata quality level reporting based on 4 new quality levels aimed to assist data providers in understanding to what extent their individual records meet the Metadata Content Requirements while also allowing them to obtain a better quality picture of all the records in their data source.
