Post subject:  Informal eResearch/Data Mgmt get together-4-5p, Fri 31 Aug

Invitation to a Victorian (Tas.) eResearch / Data Management Informal get together; Fri 31 August, 4.00pm

<Informal: No powerpoints. No minutes. Just stories.>

For the September Informal, Anna Shadbolt, University of Melbourne has kindly offered to describe her recent Data Management journey through US and UK institutions.

Agenda: Please suggest items for the agenda. A Google Spreadsheet is available for the Informal Community to suggest and vote on items for the Informal to discuss. My hope is that this document will link problems and solutions, and list work still to do.

Document is at: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1uRQtHpd6zkhHWq5wNWm8amwEezFT0_qRnK5PfQkH3u8/edit

If you don't have a Google login, please email me agenda items. Interstate contributions to the Agenda are welcome.

Who: This informal get together is targetting operational staff level working on ANDS or equivalent projects, with the ANDS Client Liaisons, rather than Director level. This is seen as community building at the grassroots level, not strategic level. An invitation will also go to Versi, VPAC and Nectar. Please extend the invitation or discuss further on this mailing list, further to relevant parties not on the ANDS Partners mailing list.

Where: Victoria University, Library Training Room, Lvl 15, Rm C1501, 300 Flinders St, Melbourne.
Thanks again to Lyle for hosting in the room with the beautiful views over the Yarra.

When: August 31, 4.00pm (the last Friday of the month)
Boardroom Informal (4.00-5.00pm; tea, coffee, nibbles), then host to direct to a nearby drinking venue for brief (5.00-6.00pm) ongoing consultation.

For catering the tea, coffee and biscuits please RSVP to richard.ferrers@ands.org.au by 27 August.
